LS Engergy Diablo 230kV Transmission Line, Pittsburg, CA
The purpose for this evaluation was to determine the thermal resistivity characteristics resulting from the soils at the project site and to provide a thermal resistivity analysis including a dryout curve for use in a 230kV transmission line design. JDH conducted laboratory thermal resistivity tests on one sample provided by Kleinfelder in accordance with ASTM D5334 and IEEE Standard 442 and produced a dryout curve that characterized the soil thermal resistivity as a function of water content between a dry or 0% moisture content to complete saturation.
